The next steps for the ICT Curriculum: basic skills, computer science and the 'wiki curriculum' - part of the Westminster Education Forum National Curriculum Seminar Series
England (North West), England (London)
12.06.2012
VENUE: Central London
This seminar is scheduled as part of the Westminster Education Forum National Curriculum Seminar Series and will bring together stakeholders from the education and technology sectors with key policymakers as schools begin to develop their own ICT and Computer Science curricula, following the Secretary of State's announcement on removal of the statutory programme of study for ICT from September 2012.
Sessions will examine the core ICT skills pupils should be required to understand at each Key Stage, the role Computer Science should play in the new National Curriculum and the development of new Computer Science qualifications. The practical implementation and development of the 'wiki-curriculum' concept (where teachers and experts collaborate in tailoring lessons) will also be a focus of discussions.
