York Festival of Science and Technology

The York Festival of Science and Technology is not only a fun way to experience many different aspects of science and engineering, it's a very public celebration of technology and innovation across the region and re-affirms York's status as the UK's first 'Science City'. Involving the collective talents of some of the region's leading scientific researchers, organisations and businesses, the key aim of the festival is to inform and inspire - across all ages, interests and levels of ability. With events for adults and families, and additional special activities for schools, it's a fantastic way to find out more about the opportunities available to anyone looking to embark on a career in science or simply pursue an interest.

Highlights this year include Ortis Deley and Pollyanna Woodward of The Gadget Show exploring some of the earliest examples of gadgetry, and glimpsing into what the future holds.
