7 March 2012 is World Maths Day, part of the World Education Games: the website is live, and registration is now open. This year, the event has expanded further to include World Science Day (8 March) for the first time, as well as World Spelling Day (6 March).
You can start practising as soon as you have registered but remember, all points will be refreshed ready for the start of World Maths Day…

Mathematicians have launched an ambitious campaign to raise the profile of their discipline, by opening a museum of maths in the UK. Geoff Wain, who is leading the initiative, points out that every other subject has a variety of cultural and educational hubs for people to visit, so why not maths?
