3, 2, 1 Go! – Mathematics challenges from Olympic athletes

In time for the London 2012 Olympics and inspired by Olympic sports, BBC Two Learning Zone has produced 3, 2, 1 Go!, a series of video maths challenges for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3.

3, 2, 1 Go! is designed with teachers in mind and has been produced with input from the University of Cambridge Millennium Mathematics Project. The series sees real schoolchildren solve mathematics problems given to them by Olympic champions and current sporting heroes, and is available online in complete ten-minute clips, together with ideas for use in the classroom.

Bringing together Sport and Maths, 3, 2, 1 Go! features living sporting legends in rowing, football, rugby, gymnastics and cycling, and it has challenges designed to support Key Stages 1, 2, and 3 in data plotting, probability, geometry, numeracy and algebra.
