Two sessions of the Oxford Robot Games will take place at Oxford University on Wednesday 5 Oct and Friday 9 December 2011 from 9.30am - 3.30pm for Year 9 and Year 10 students. Supported by Computing at School (CAS), the Oxford Robot Games challenge students to design and build a robot and pitch it against Oxford University machines.

The academic team at the Department of Computer Science, Oxford University, is particularly involved in developing techniques to help a team of robots efficiently map an environment and report on their findings. Many of the same kind of challenges they face — getting robots to balance, remain stable, sense objects — will be explored by teams during the RobotGames.

Only one team per school is permitted with a maximum of five students per team allowed.

Advance booking is essential.
