eLibrary reaches 1000!

eLibrary dashboard

The National STEM Centre is home to the UK’s largest open library of teaching and learning resources to support STEM education. Since July 2010, collections have been available through our online eLibrary, and we are delighted to report that we have now passed our first 1000 resources. The eLibrary is a long-term commitment to supporting STEM teachers and lecturers made possible through funding from the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, and the support of many professional bodies and other resource providers. We would like to take this opportunity to thank partner organisations for their support in establishing the eLibrary.

Resource collections include both contemporary and archive teaching resources, some of which are available digitally for the first time. The bulk of the early collections focus on science and mathematics, and work is now moving at pace to build new collections for design & technology, and engineering.

The eLibrary provides a sustainable and well-managed home for high-quality STEM resource materials. Resource providers interested in using the eLibrary to disseminate STEM education resources are very welcome to contact us.

And if you have any other suggestions for resources that should be featured in the eLibrary we would be delighted to hear from you.
