Free Twilight Biodiversity event to celebrate Science Learning Centre London

2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity and Science Learning Centre London’s free annual anniversary celebration will focus on this crucial area of science.

This twilight event is offered in collaboration with the Natural History Museum and the Zoological Society of London, and brings together a team of four experts in biodiversity, who will each give a short presentation highlighting issues related to the importance of maintaining biodiversity with particular emphasis on marine ecosystems. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and questions. There will also be a showcase of organisations that have produced teaching resources for the International Year of Biodiversity.

The event is for both primary and secondary and secondary teachers and teaching assistants and is free to attend, with light refreshments available on arrival. Booking is essential as places are limited, you can download the full programme using the link to the left.
