IMA Education Grant scheme

The Institute of Mathematics & its Applications (IMA) is offering grants to individuals in secondary schools, colleges of further education (FE) and Higher Education (HEIs) institutions in the UK to help with the costs of running or attending an educational activity relating to mathematics.

The IMA is offering grants up to a value of £600. Each application will be considered on its merits. An ‘appropriate event’ is an event that is deemed to fulfil the aim of the Education Grant. Examples of relevant activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attendance at appropriate conferences / travel costs towards getting to appropriate conferences
  • Hosting a Mathematics event (e.g. Maths Trails, Maths competitions)
  • Travel expenses for a speaker to talk at school/FE/HEI about mathematics/careers in mathematics

Applications can be made at anytime of the year for grants up to £600 and further details can be found on the IMA website.
