Maths Magic free workshops

Maths Magic's goal is to make maths more appealing and enjoyable to a wider range of adult learners, so as to open up new opportunities for them in STEM subjects and careers. Maths Magic is a project funded by HEFCE to help widen participation of adults into STEM subjects via capacity-building events for those teaching maths to adult returners in the North and North-East.

Events are aimed at any staff in further or higher education who feel these will help them to engage mature students:
- who have the potential ultimately to study a STEM subject in HE or
- who are already studying a STEM subject in HE but struggle with the maths.

  • An interactive workshop for those teaching and supporting maths and physics in the tertiary sector
    Wednesday 18 January, University of Leeds

Geogebra

  • An interactive workshop for those teaching and supporting maths in the tertiary sector
    Friday 10 February, University of Leeds

Bringing Geometry Alive

  • An interactive workshop for those teaching and supporting maths in the tertiary sector
    Friday 23 March, National STEM Centre, University of York
