National Science and Engineering Week

National Science & Engineering Week shines the spotlight each March on how science, technology, engineering and maths relate to our everyday lives and helps to inspire the next generation of scientists with fun and participative activities.

The National STEM Centre has created a variety of collections of teaching resources from the eLibrary to help you plan your lessons and activities during National Science & Engineering Week.

  • A special collection of teaching resources on the eLibrary for National Science & Engineering week (NSEW). Resources have been chosen to help the library’s users make the most of National Science & Engineering Week 'World in Motion' theme.
  • A special collection of teaching resources on the eLibrary to support the release of the new novel by Simon Mayo called Itch. The book is about a boy who loves science, collects elements and discovers a new element. The Elements collection contains resources which can be used to support the teaching of elements and the periodic table.
  • Ideas for Primary Assembly during National Science & Engineering week focussing on a Space theme. You will need to sign in or freely register to access this list of resources.
