Prizes for Innovative Technology Projects

One of last year's winning entries

The Technology Design and Innovation Challenge offers students the chance to showcase their project work to an industry which relies upon the creativity of its designers and engineers. And there are prizes to be won!

TDI Challenge is a free competition designed to showcase outstanding D&T, Engineering & Manufacturing project work from UK schools and colleges.

No extra-curricular work is required, and the competition can be entered via an online form. There is no limit to the number of entries that any one school can make.

Twelve finalists will be chosen by a panel of industry judges to give a presentation of their work at a world class manufacturing facility. Students, and their teachers / parents, are treated to a guided tour, lunch and prize-giving ceremony.

The Manufacturing Technologies Association represents over 250 engineering-based manufacturing companies in the UK, and have run the challenge since 2000 in association with MTA member company Yamazaki Mazak, who host the final at their European Technology Centre in Worcester.
